The “Disco Juniors” project allows children to learn and have fun while engaging with concepts of rhythm and melody.

In lesson one of the Disco Juniors project, the little inventors become real DJs. Children learn concepts related to binary and ternary metre, in a process that encourages musical creativity and communication

Porquê Este Projeto?

The Disco Juniors project was created with three main objectives:

Understanding the importance of concepts: In this project, the little inventors are encouraged to explore concepts in a practical and enjoyable way, experimenting with different musical sounds and textures, noticing variations in timbre, intensity and duration of sounds. At the same time, they learn to value the sharing of ideas and teamwork. It is an opportunity to inspire young minds to engage with the world in a creative and meaningful way.

Understanding the impact on society: Through this project, children learn skills related to the influence of music in today’s society, while developing the ability to create melodies and add variations, learning to control different musical parameters such as pitch (high and low sounds) and duration (long and short sounds).

Focusing on creativity and an inventive mindset: By taking part in this process, the little inventors develop skills such as problem-solving, critical thinking and motor coordination.
