Light Saber – Tips and concepts
Tips and Concepts
If the straw is opaque, the light will reflect it self inside it and we will only see it at the end through the little hole.
If the straw is translucent, part of the light is reflected up to the tip, and another part is refracted, creating the fantastic Light Saber effect.
Os Light Sabers are like vampires… They work best in the dark! You know why?
Outside, on a sunny day, our pupils adjust the amount of light that enters our eyes. They get smaller, letting less light in, so we have a harder time seeing the light from the LEDs.
On the other hand, when we are in the dark, the pupils dilate allowing more light to enter and it is easier to see Light Saber in all its glory.
